Why two modalities?
Different pieces need different guarantee levels. GSG offers two shipping modes, both with mandatory insurance and packaging/unboxing videos:
Modality A — Direct shipping
Seller packs and hands the parcel to GSG's contracted carrier (DHL, etc.). Direct seller-to-buyer.

- ✅ Lower shipping cost.
- ⚠️ Seller records packaging video.
- ⚠️ Buyer records unboxing video.
When to use: moderate-value pieces (<€2,000), standard bullion, sales between verified users.
Modality B — Via GSG HQ
The piece first goes to GSG HQ, where our verification team physically inspects it (weight, diameter, metal tests). If it passes, we store it briefly and reship to the buyer.
- ✅ Physical verification before the buyer ever sees it.
- ✅ Secure custody during transit.
- ✅ Official verification report (signed PDF).
- ⏱️ Slower (4–7 business days).
- 💰 Extra custody + re-shipping cost.
When to use: high-value pieces (>€2,000), rare numismatics, first-time buyer/seller pairing.
Mandatory videos
Both modalities require:
- Seller → packaging video.
- Buyer → unboxing video (continuous, label to piece).
These are the evidence we use to resolve disputes.
Insurance
All shipments are insured up to the declared value. Insurance is paid by the buyer.
