How We Protect You When You Buy

Protected payment, 5 days to file a claim and an authenticity guarantee. How Gold Silver Global protects you on every purchase, in three steps.

Everything Gold Silver Global does so you can buy with peace of mind, in plain language.

Protected payment

Your money only reaches the seller once you confirm delivery and the claim period ends.

When you pay, the money is deposited with a licensed payment provider, in an account separate from GSG's. After delivery you will see two buttons, "Everything is fine" and "I have a problem". If you press neither, the payment is released automatically when the protection period ends.

If something goes wrong, three steps

  1. Let us know within 5 days after delivery.
  2. We step in and pause the payment.
  3. You get your money back.

You are covered when the piece

  • Does not arrive.
  • Arrives damaged.
  • Does not match the listing.
  • Is not authentic. In this case you have 30 days from confirmed delivery.

To file a claim for damage, differences or authenticity you need the video of the package being opened. Always record it.

Who sells to you

Every listing shows the seller's level.

  • Unverified Private Seller. Has registered but has not verified their identity. Can only have pieces listed up to €1,000 in total.
  • Verified Private Seller. We have checked their identity with documentation.
  • Verified Professional. Sells as an economic activity, with their identity and company checked.

Below the level you see "Identity verified by GSG" when the seller is verified, their ratings (or "No ratings yet" if they do not have any) and how long they have been selling at Gold Silver Global.

The three origin labels

  • Brand new. A new piece, sold only by a professional.
  • Pre-owned. A second-hand piece sold by a professional.
  • From a collector. A piece sold by a private seller from their collection.

Right of withdrawal and legal guarantee

At Gold Silver Global there is no right of withdrawal, whether a private seller or a professional sells. What you have is protected payment, 5 days to file a claim and the authenticity guarantee.

When you buy from a professional as a consumer, in addition, the seller is responsible for the conformity of the piece for the period set by the law of your country. Between private individuals there is no legal guarantee of conformity.

Authenticity guarantee

Counterfeits, 30 days from confirmed delivery. If it is confirmed that the piece is not authentic, you receive the full amount, even if the payment has already been released to the seller.

The GSG Vault seal

When a listing carries the GSG Vault seal, the piece is not at the seller's home. It is in the GSG Vault strongroom, verified, insured and ready to ship.

What the protection does not cover

  • A payment made outside Gold Silver Global. If you pay by another route, you lose all protection.
  • A drop in the price of the metal. That gold or silver is worth less than the day you bought is not grounds for a claim.
  • A change of mind, because there is no right of withdrawal.
  • Damage you cause by handling or cleaning the piece after receiving it.

How to recognize fraud

  • No one from Gold Silver Global will ask you to pay outside the website or ask for your passwords.
  • Be wary of anyone who offers you a better price for paying another way or asks for your phone number or your email. On the website, contact details are not shared.
  • Always pay from an account in your name and inside Gold Silver Global.

If you see something that should not be there

Every listing and every profile has a button to report it, "Report listing" and "Report profile". You choose the reason, tell us what you saw and we tell you by email what we decided.
